Press the key (14) to change the scanning speed during the test.

To exit the test, press TEST again.
DC level test
This function allows you to test the DC level as well as the polarity of cables.
•
Set the function selector switch (6) to the middle position. (network,
telephone)
•
Connect the adapter to the RJ11 Jack (10) of the transmitter. Connect the
cable to the red and black crocodile clamp.
•
When the phone line status indicator (11) lights up red, the red terminal is
positive and the black is negative. In green, the red terminal is negative
and the black is positive.
•
The brightness of the display changes with the height of the level.
Telephone line test
This function allows you to check the status of a phone line.
TIP-line / RING-line (Note Fig. 7)
In many European countries, TIP and RING-line are referred to as A and B
wires.
•
Turn on the transmitter.
•
Set the function selector switch (6) to the middle position. (network,
telephone)
•
Connect the adapter to the RJ11 Jack (10) of the transmitter. Connect the
cable to the red and black crocodile clamp.
•
When the phone line status indicator (11) lights up red, the red terminal is
on the TIP line, the black on the RING line. On green is the red terminal on
the RING line and the black on the TIP line.
Check phone line: (standby, ringing, busy)
•
Clip the red crocodile clip to the RING line and the black to the TIP line.
