7. A pilot hole will need to be drilled into the front right corner where the Right Stretcher connects to
the Front Right Leg. To gauge the correct depth of the hole, set up the Drill Bit (B) in the drill
chuck with approximately 2 1/2" sticking out. You can use the widest line of the Wood Jig (A) to
make this measurement. See FIGURE 7A.
Align the Wood Jig (A) in this front right corner. See FIGURES 7B and 7C. Make sure the holes
in the Wood Jig (A) are towards the Right Front Leg and the angled surface of the jig (that has a
black line) is facing and against the bottom of the Right Stretcher.
IMPORTANT: The outside corner of the Wood Jig (A) needs to be flush to the outside edge
of the Right Stretcher. See FIGURE 7C for precise location.
Hold the Wood Jig (A) tightly in place and insert the Drill Bit (B) into the hole that should be
centered on the Front Right Leg. Drill a pilot hole into the leg until the drill chuck contacts the
wood jig.
8. Remove the Wood Jig (A) and drive a
#8 x 2" Flat Head Screw (D) into the pilot
hole. See FIGURE 8.
