EACH OF THE ABOVE MOUNTING METHODS MUST BE ABLE TO SUPPORT A MINIMUM OF 500 LBS, AND BE
APPROVED FOR OVERHEAD LOADING. (Possible alternative: and comply with local building codes for overhead
loading.)
The steps required to mount the ceiling frame are:
A.
Determine the mounting method appropriate for the ceiling construction (see three options above).
B.
Create the rough-in opening structure and install unit supporting hardware as needed.
C.
Install ceiling /drywall, trim to rough-in opening.
D. Tape/spackle the ceiling drywall and paint it if the ceiling color is to be different than that of the ceiling frame's
visible white rough-in-opening cover.
E.
Install the ceiling frame, then proceed to instruction step #2 and complete the ceiling box (sold separately)
installation.
PREPARING THE CEILING BOX (sold separately):

Attach four pin brackets (3) (internal) to four guide brackets (4) (external) using supplied hardware as shown in figure
C. Guide brackets (4) should be positioned so that the pre-installed cables are located furthest from the center of box.
Ceiling box shelves may have to be removed for installation of brackets.
Insert four lock pins (5) into pin brackets from the inside until pin end is flush with ceiling box exterior wall (unlocked
position).

HANGING THE CEILING BOX FROM THE FRAME FOR WIRING:
Attach cable ends (6) to the inside walls of the frame as shown below. Let ceiling box hang from frame by a minimum
of two cables (use the cables located closer to the knockouts) while routing conduit and making necessary wiring
connections.
