Protection against contact
- MiniVent M1/150 mini fans are delivered with an intake-side protection guard as standard. Depending on the mounting
conditions, protection against contact may also be required on the discharge side. Corresponding protection guards are
available as accessories.
- Fans which are protected by their installation method (e.g. installation in ventilation ducts or closed assemblies), do not
require protection guards if the plant provides the necessary level of safety. It is noted that the operator is responsible for
adhering to current standards and can be held liable for accidents due to a lack of protective equipment.

Motor protection device
The M1/150 MiniVent has an energy-saving, maintenance-free, external EC motor (interference-free, ball bearing-mounted)
with the highest efficiency factor. The motor is equipped with a thermo contact, which is wired in series with the winding, and
which automatically switches off and on again after cooling.
In case of a blocked rotor, the motor will commence restart attempts in 3 second intervals.
The motor must be in a certain rotor position in order to start. If it is not in this position, it will send impulses to the rotor in
order to reach this position. This may take a few seconds.
