5 Setting into Operation

Please note that fast changes in
lighting, e. g. flashing light, may trigger
epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!
1) Connect the mains cable provided to the mains jack
(4) first, then connect it to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz). While starting, the display shows
the LEDs remain dark. Then the unit will be ready for
operation and can be controlled via a DMX controller
(
chapter 7) or will automatically operate according
to the show programme adjusted (
switch off the unit, disconnect the mains plug.
Caution: Do not connect the unit to the mains volt-
age via a dimmer!
2) For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a socket which can
be switched on and off via a light switch.
3) If several RGBL-82DMX are used, it is possible
to connect the jack POWER LINK OUTPUT (3)
of the first unit via a mains cable with an IEC 3-pin
plug and an IEC 3-pin inline jack (e. g. AAC-170/SW
from the product range of "img Stage Line") to the
mains jack (4) of the second unit. The second unit
can again be connected to the third unit etc. until all
units will be connected in a chain. A maximum of
40 units can be interconnected in this way. The 41
unit must then be provided with a mains connection
of its own.

5.1 Basic adjustments

The following basic adjustments can be made via the
display (16) and the control buttons (11 – 13). For this
purpose, press button MENU (11) so many times until
the desired function is displayed. Then press button
ENTER (13). Make sure that the next button is pressed
within 8 seconds, otherwise the adjusting process will
end. The menu structure can be found on page 19.
Blackout mode on or off
Use button DOWN or UP (12) to select:
The panel will only light up when there is a
DMX control signal at the jack DMX INPUT (8).
Once the DMX controller is switched off, all
LEDs will go out.
This adjustment must be selected when the
unit is operated without a DMX controller.
To memorize, press button ENTER (13).
Display on or off
Use button DOWN or UP (12) to select:
The display (16) will always be on.

6 Operation without DMX Controller

When there is no DMX control signal at the jack DMX
INPUT (8), the yellow LED MASTER (10) will light up,
the display (16) will show the function adjusted and the
unit will automatically operate according to the show
programme selected. For this purpose, the Blackout
function must be deactivated,
6.1 Selecting the function
When selecting a function, make sure that the next
button (11 – 13) is pressed within 8 seconds, otherwise
the adjusting process will end and the unit will return to
the previous function. The menu structure can be

6.1.1 Show programmes

Four different colour change programmes (Nos. 1 – 4)
and five different running light programmes (Nos. 5 – 9)
are available. In addition, there is a colour transition
