Marking Meaning
G For areas in which explosive gas, vapour, mist
or air mixtures are present.
D For areas in which explosive atmospheres
caused by dust can form.
Ex Standards ISO 80079-36 and ISO 80079-37
applied.
h Non-electrical equipment for use in explosive
atmospheres.
An ignition protection type is not applied to the
letter "h".
IIC Gas atmosphere group IIC.
IIIC Combustible flyings, non-conductive dust and
conductive dust.
T6 ... T1 Symbol indicating the temperature class.
The actual maximum surface temperature de-
