Notes on Performace
A clogged or dirty intake screen will greatly reduce performance. If the pump is used on a dirty sur-
face, raise it slightly to reduce the amount of debris contacting the intake. If slower fl ow is desired,
adjust the fl ow control lever on the side of the pump or restrict the discharge fl ow.
Do not let the pump run when not submerged in water. Doing so may damage the pump. Always
submerge the pump in the water before plugging in the electrical outlet. It is common for air to be in
the pump and tube when fi rst plugged in. Continue to unplug the electrical cord and then plug it back
in until water begins to fl ow.
According to the European waste regulation 2012/19/EU this symbol on the product
or on its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household was-
te. Instead it should be taken to the appropriate collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly,
