Grill stone
∙ Fit the stone, with the smooth side up,
next to the reversible grill plate on the
appliance. Caution: Avoid placing a
cold stone onto a hot element.
∙ The stone can be used for cooking
vegetables, sliced meat or fish etc. as
required.
∙ This stone is entirely natural material.
Small cracks resulting from natural
expansion and contraction during
heating and cooling, as well as a change
to a darker colour are normal and have
no detrimental effects.
∙ Do not place any frozen food or items
containing vinegar (such as pickled
gherkins or mustard) on the stone.
Reversible grill plate
∙ Fit the reversible grill plate next to the
stone on the appliance.
∙ With the ribbed side facing up, the
reversible grill plate can be used for
grilling meat, sausages etc. The smooth
side is suitable for fish and vegetables.
The grill plate should be lightly greased
before use.
Variable thermostat and indicator light
∙ The thermostat serves to regulate the
temperature between MIN and MAX.
∙ The indicator light shows the current
heating status:
Heating on = indicator light on
Heating off = indicator light off
∙ After use, return the thermostat to its
lowest setting and unplug the appliance
from the mains supply.

Operation
Hint: For the very best results, meat
should be taken from the refrigerator
about half an hour before grilling,
covered and left to stand.
∙ Place the grill stone and the reversible
grill plate on the unit.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket
and turn the thermostat all the way to
the right.
∙ Let the appliance preheat for about
10 minutes to reach the required
temperature. However, the grill stone
requires a pre-heating time of around 25
minutes.
∙ Place the food to be cooked on the
reversible grill plate or on the stone, as
required.
∙ Put the raclette cheese into the
mini-pans. Place the mini-pans in the
appliance, under the heating element,
and leave them until the cheese has
melted.
∙ Warning: Do not place empty mini-pans
in the appliance while it is switched on.
∙ When cooking is finished, turn the
thermostat all the way to the left and
unplug the appliance from the mains.
How to prepare raclette cheese
Use about 200 to 300 grammes of cheese
per person. Cut the cheese into slices of
about 3 to 5 mm thickness and put them
into the mini-pans. It is preferable to use
original raclette cheese. Any other fast
melting cheese, however, is also suitable.
