3. INTENDED USE
• Measuring and displaying electrical parameters in the measuring category CAT III up to max. 500 V against
ground potential in compliance with EN 61010-1 and all lower categories. The multimeter may not be used in the
measuring category CAT IV.
• DC and AC voltage measurements up to max. 500 V
• Measuring direct current up to 10 A
• Measuring frequency up to 25 kHz
• Measuring resistance up to 200 MOhm
• Audible continuity test
• Diode test
• Transistor test
The multimeter is operated with commercially available batteries (2x 1.5 mignon batteries (AA, LR06), 1x 9 V block
((6F22, 4922, NEDA1604 or identical battery)). The multimeter may be operated with the specified battery type only.
Batteries with a cell voltage of 1.2 V may not be used. An automatic power-off function prevents premature battery
drain.
Do not operate the multimeter when the housing or battery compartment is open or if the battery compartment cover
is missing.
Measurements in potentially explosive areas (Ex) or wet rooms or in adverse ambient conditions are not permis-
sible. Adverse ambient conditions are defined as such: Wet conditions or high humidity, dust or flammable gases,
vapors or solvents as well as thunderstorms or similar conditions such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Only use test leads and measuring accessories that meet the multimeter's specifications.
The multimeter may be only operated by persons familiar with the applicable regulations for the measurement and
all possible hazards.
Any use other than that described above will damage the product and may involve other hazards such as short-
circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. The product as a whole must not be modified or altered!
Read this user manual completely before first use and keep it for future reference.
Observe the safety instructions at all times!
