before using the weed burner and keep
them for future reference. They contain all
the necessary information concerning proper
use in order to prevent dangerous situations
and damage to the equipment.
The manufacturer GROUW disclaims any
responsibility for accidents caused by
incorrect use of the weed burner, or due to
changes made to the same.
GAS SUPPLY
The weed burner functions using a gas
bottle containing butane/propane, which
has a threaded valve in accordance with the
requirements of EN417. It is recommended to
use propane/butane 210 g-330 g gas bottles.

SAFETY MEASURES
As propane/butane gas bottles are equipped
with a valve, they can be removed from the
appliance, even if they are not empty, and
� tted to other GROUW appliances.
Using gas bottles other than the
recommended type may be dangerous.
START-UP
FITTING THE GAS BOTTLE
Check that the valve is closed. Turn the
control valve (5) clockwise. Replace the
O-ring (4) if it is damaged or missing. Screw
the gas bottle to the weed burner clockwise
(� g. 1). Check that the seal is tight (see "Seal
check").
REMOVING AN EMPTY GAS BOTTLE
Check that the valve is closed. Turn the
control valve (5) clockwise. Unscrew the gas
bottle from the weed burner anticlockwise.
SAFETY MEASURES
The gas bottle must be removed or � tted
outdoors in a well-ventilated location and
at a good distance from � ammable liquids
and materials, and heat sources (� ames,
embers, cigarettes, electrical installations,
etc.) and people and animals. Do not use the
weed burner if the O-ring (4) is damaged or
missing (see "Replacing the seal"). Do not
puncture or burn even completely empty
cartridges. For the sake of the environment,
dispose of the gas bottle in a safe place, and
preferably for reuse.
