Battery maintenance
Battery life will depend on how it is used and maintained. Ensure that terminals are clean and greased to avoid sulphation. Also
ensure that the terminals are properly tightened.
Switch off the 12V supply as soon as the vehicle is unoccupied. This will prevent a deep discharge of the battery.
Recharging batteries
To recharge the battery, connect the vehicle to the 230V mains supply for 24 hours, having previously checked that the F1 leisure
battery protection fuse is installed.
Storage
•
Turn off the main 12V switch on the control panel.
•
Remove the 50A (F2) fuse to disconnect the engine battery.
•
Switch off all appliances and lights.
•
Remove the 50A (F1) fuse to disconnect the leisure battery after ensuring that it is fully charged (a discharged battery is
sensitive to frost).
•
Disconnect the battery terminals
Follow the power pack user manual instructions for other related immobilisation measures.
If the vehicle remains immobilised for a long period, remove the batteries and keep them at a moderate temperature.
Batteries are dangerous items. While handling the battery, do not smoke or create sparks. Electrolyte is a corrosive
product. In the event of contact, rinse yourself thoroughly with fresh water.
Storing the leisure battery:
Batteries, if left inactive, are subject to self-discharge losses.
