Note!
– Refer to sections 5.3 and 5.5 for a
description of the parameters.
– To view the set parameter values,
press the corresponding parameter
button. Before, however, you have to
press the STOP button and access the
correct menu level.
– To prevent accidental changes of the
parameter settings, lock the controls
by simultaneously pressing the + (plus)
and – (minus) buttons.
Press both buttons again to unlock.
– Selecting the "New Patient" function
will automatically delete the data on
the patient chip card. When you have
finished programming the device and
press the STOP button, the settings
will automatically also be saved to the
patient chip card.
– Emergency stop function: The
ARTROMOT®-SP3 will stop immedi-
ately, when any of the controls is
pressed during therapy.
When the START button is pressed in
the synchronized mode, the carriage
will move to the position halfway
between the set values, and stops.
Patient treatment can be resumed by
pressing the START button. When the
START button is pressed again in the
non-synchronized mode, the carriage
will reverse its direction.
– The manufacturer recommends an
application period of up to 1 hour per
therapy session.
– For a uniform, smooth and gentle
transition between the two directions
of motion, the speed is automatically
reduced before reaching the reversal
point and, on reaching the reversal
point, it is continuously increased until
it reaches the set speed.
Patients with
a programmed chip card
– First, complete the mechanical adjust-
ments.
– Then, insert the chip card (the patient is
not yet positioned on the CPM device).
– Press the START button: the device will
move to the middle position as specified
by the parameters stored on the chip
card and stops.
– Subsequently, place the patient on the
CPM device and press the START button
to initiate therapy.
