Lamp Mounting Instructions
• Lamp mounting surface must be vertical to the ground, and parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
• Lamp is approved to ECE Regulation 91 and the reference axis of the lamp must be mounted horizontally.
(Approval marking SM1 E24 00 0004).
• Ensure the lamp is mounted on a flat surface with the gasket provided. The lens may be used as a template for drilling the mounting
holes. Mount the lamp and fit screw caps (where supplied) into the mounting hole recesses of the lens.
Note: Lamp is fully sealed and has no serviceable components. If it is necessary to remove the screw caps, use a pin.
Wiring and Protection
LED modules are polarity conscious. Reverse polarity will not damage this product but will inhibit its function.
Hella recommends wire connections be soldered and heat shrink tubing applied to seal the joint. Lamp must be protected by a fuse
rated at 2 amperes maximum. Note: do not attempt to open - no serviceable parts inside.

Compatibility to existing electrical systems
It is important for the installer to ascertain the compatibility of the low power consumption LED lamps with the electrical and/or electronic
systems of the complete vehicle, including trailers. In most cases the reduced power consumption is beneficial by imposing less
demands on the entire electrical system.
For certain functions some electrical systems rely on a set power consumption for monitoring whether, for example, a trailer is connected.
Operation of this lamp using alternating current or modulated direct voltage will cause premature light failure. HELLA recommends
connecting ECE certified LED signal and marker lamps to a continuous (unmodulated) 12V or 24V power supply to ensure safe light
operation.

Anbauanleitung
• Anbringungsebene für die Leuchte muss senkrecht zur Fahrbahn und parallel zur Fahrzeuglängsachse sein.
• Leuchte entspricht ECE- Richtlinie R91 und muss mit ihrer Bezugsachse horizontal angebaut werden.
(Genehmigungszeichen SM1 E24 00 0004).
• Bitte sicherstellen, dass die Leuchte mit Dichtung auf einer ebenen Fläche befestigt wird. Zur Bohrung der Schraubenlöcher
kann die Lichtscheibe als Schablone verwendet werden. Nach Anbau der Leuchte sind die Schraubenkappen (falls mitgeliefert)
in die versenkten Schraubenbohrungen der Lichtscheibe zu drücken.
Anmerkung: Die Leuchte ist vollständig dicht verklebt und bedarf keiner Wartung. Zur Entfernung der Schrauben kappen bitte
einen spitzen Gegenstand verwenden.
Verkabelung und Spannungsschutz
LED Module sind polungsempfindlich. Durch die eingebauten Schutzschaltkreise wird diese Leuchte bei Verpolung nicht beschädigt, sie
funktioniert aber in diesem Fall nicht. Wir empfehlen, alle Verbindungen zu löten und anschließend mit Schrumpfschlauch abzudichten.
Die Leuchte muss außerdem durch eine Sicherung mit einer Belastbarkeit von nicht mehr als 2 Ampere abgesichert werden.
Hinweis: In diesem Gerät sind keine vom Benutzer wartbaren Teile vorhanden.

Kompatibilität mit existierenden elektrischen Systemen
Vor dem Einbau ist es wichtig, sich über die Kompatibilität der LED-Leuchte mit anderen elektrischen/elektronischen Systemen des
Fahrzeuges (inkl. Anhänger) zu vergewissern. In den meisten Fällen ist der verringerte Stromverbrauch vorteilhaft, da das gesamte
elektrische System weniger beansprucht wird.
Für gewisse Funktionen sind manche elektrischen Systeme auf eine definierte Leistungsaufnahme angewiesen, um z. B. die Verbindung
eines Anhängers zu überwachen.
Der Betrieb dieser Leuchte mit Wechselstrom oder modulierter Gleichspannung (PWM) führt zu einem vorzeitigen Lichtausfall.
HELLA empfiehlt, ECE-zertifizierte Multivolt-LED-Signal- und Markierungsleuchten an eine kontinuierliche (unmodulierte) 12V- oder
24V-Stromversorgung anzuschließen, um einen sicheren Betrieb der Leuchte zu gewährleisten.
