3. Slip the end of the sanding sheet into the clamp and flatten the sheet against the sanding plate.
4. When inserting the sanding sheet, make sure that the openings in the sheet are in line with the holes in
the sanding plate.
5. Keeping the sanding sheet correctly positioned, close the clamp release lever to secure the sheet in
position.
➥ The clamp release lever must engage on both sides.
6. Check that the clamp always remains closed while work is in progress.

Setting the oscillation rate
The ideal oscillation rate depends on the material to be sanded. Determine the optimum oscillation
rate by trial and error. Pay attention to the product information supplied with the sanding sheets and
to the use tables.
▶ Set the thumbwheel for oscillation-rate preselection to a value between 1 (low) and 6 (high).
➥ The electronics keep the oscillation rate constant even under load.
5.4
Installing the dust bag
1. Pull the plastic slider in the underside of the grip all the way out.
2. Slip the dust bag over the dust removal connector.
➥ Make sure that the plastic slider engages the tab provided for the purpose on the dust bag.

Connecting an external extraction system
Always connect an external extraction system when working over a lengthy period with wood or
materials that can produce dusts that are hazardous to health.
1. Fit the suction adapter.
