Towball Cover
This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball, which dimensionally
conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar and a universal coupling Z46 & Z52B.
Removal of step brackets if fitted

On underside of vehicle remove side bolts from existing step to vertical brackets. Keep bolts as these will be reused.

On underside of chassis rails remove step supports by undoing two vertical bolts, hand to customer. These will not be
reused. The design intent of the towbar is to fit inside the existing step brackets
FITTING

Remove towing eye on underside of left chassis rail and hand to customer. Clean captive threads thoroughly

Using bolts (D), fit the cross bar to the rearmost mountings and forward holes

On the left side of the vehicle attach sidearm (B) to the inner chassis rail using bolt (D). Side arm (B) will also align with
the forward mounting on the underside of the chassis rail, fit bolt (D). Finally using bolt (E) fit the side arm to the cross bar (A)

For the right side of the vehicle proceed as per step 5 using side arm (C).

Tighten all mounting points to their recommended torque setting.
Refit of step

Align step holes to main crossbar .To aid alignment raise and lower end of step. Use existing bolts and tighten, 2 each
side.

Attach selected coupling with the standard electrical plate using coupling bolts provided. Note: If using top set of holes
use coupling packer (F) to space away electrical plate from vehicles fitted with step.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M12 - 80 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
