Note: This tow bar must be used with either a Witter Tow ball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the tow bar.

FITTING
1. Open boot and remove each light cluster;
-Scenic; plastic fixing found in rear of boot compartment.
-Grand scenic; 2 torx screws and 1 plastic fixing accessed through rear of boot.
2. Remove bumper; 1 plastic fixing and 2 torx screws by each light cluster, 3 torx screws from within each wheel arch and
several torx screws from along underside of the bumper.
Pull bumper of clips, disconnect reversing sensors and remove bumper.
Additionally on the scenic pull off plastic fixings that retain the felt within the wheel arch, peel back to expose mounting
points.
3. Remove crash beam via 8 M8 bolts, retain foam protection.
4. Carefully remove the wax and protective coverings on chassis rails.
Insert nut strap into chassis rail, Note; with reference to fig 1 for Grand Scenic bend the last nut up 45˚ to avoid the
internal obstruction, mount sidearms to correct mounting points (see fig 2) using fixings D, to allow easy installation of
crossbar do not tighten, attach main cross bar using fixings E, finally fix neck option and electrical plate. Position bar and
tighten all bolts to recommended torques.
5. Trim bumper to allow access to neck and electrical plate using templates as a rough guide, trim bumper tag if needed.
6. Re-attach crash beam, with foam profile. Re-mount the bumper and other items taken of, in reverse order to which it
was removed.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
