MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 2 Cleats
C 4 M12x40x1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Plain Washers (30mm O.D.)
D 4 M12x40x1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers, Nuts and Plain Washers (30mm O.D.)
E 4 M12x40x1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Plain Washers (30mm O.D.)
CP 1 10mm Coupling Packer
CB 2 M16x60x2.00mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Plain Washers (30mm O.D.)
EP 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove the existing Bolts from the tow bar mounting points (2 on each chassis side face and 2 on nearside chassis
bottom face).
2. Prise out the wiring loom cable securing clip from the offside chassis side face.
3. Assemble the Cross Bar (A) from underneath the vehicle to between each chassis face and loosely secure with
fasteners (C).
4. Loosely assemble Cleats (B) to each end of Cross Bar (A) using fasteners (D)
5. Attach Cleats (B) to the underside of each chassis rail using fasteners (E).
6. Ensure the Cross Bar's face plate is vertical and fully tighten all fasteners in the suggested order (C), (E) & (D)
7. Secure the vehicles wiring loom to the attachment point provided on the Cross Bar end-plates, using the tie wrap
supplied or similar.
Tow Ball Assembly Notes:
When assembling the tow ball to the top set of holes, secure the 10mm Coupling Packer (CP) to the opposite side of the
face plate.
NOTE: This tow bar is EC type approved to be used with a Class A50-X tow ball with a 'D' Value greater than or equal to that of the
tow bar and universal coupling Z46 / Z52B. Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits,
which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
