Stage Line
CONTROLS AND CONNECTORS OF THE MASTER SECTION
1.
Output Groups L-R and MONO
The unbalanced outputs of these groups are equipped with a special compensation circuitry to avoid hum
interferences and ground loops. Each output has its own signal ground, separate from the shield and earth. This
way the signal ground can be used for compensation, similar to the compensation principle of balanced signal
distribution.
All group-outputs (including AUX1-4) are wired as follows:
Signal
Signal Ground
Shield
2.
Send-Return Jacks INSERT
The signals of the output groups pass these send return jacks, before they get to the master faders L-R and
MONO. Via these jacks devices like graphic equalizers or limiters can be inserted.
For this purpose the same special Y-cables are required as for the channel inserts.
3.
Stereo Return Inputs FX1 - FX4
Signal sources, which have to be routed directly to the stereo-groups L-R, can be connected to these return-inputs.
Providing LINE-sensitivity, FX1-FX4 are well suited for the remix of effect signals or for feeding the output signals
of sub-mixers to the stereo-groups L-R.
Of course other Line-sources like CD-players, tape recorders etc. can be connected here as well.
Stereo-devices can be plugged to the jacks LEFT and RIGHT. Mono-signals have to be connected only to the input
LEFT. Then they are automatically routed to both stereo-channels.
4.
LED VU-Meters
Two 16 step LED-bargraphs for monitoring either the stereo-outputs L-R or the output MONO. With the switches
(14) the respective outputs can be selected. If any of the PFL / AFL-switches is depressed, the right LED-bargraph
automatically indicates the PFL / AFL-signal.
The sensitivity of the VU-meters can be adjusted according to the user's demands with two trim-pots behind the
window of the display.
5.
Tone Control SLOPE
The returns FX1 andFX2 both are equipped with a slope-control. At mid position the frequency response is flat. If
the knob is turned to the left, low frequencies are boosted, while the volume of the high frequency range is
reduced. If it is turned to the right, low frequent signals are attenuated, while the high range is boosted.

7.
PFL-Switches of the Returns
The returns FX1-4 can be monitored behind the volume controls (mono). The returns are switched to the
headphones amp in pairs, FX1 together with FX2 and FX3 together with FX4.
8.
Routing Switches L-R of FX1 - FX4
The return signals are sent to the outputs L-R in pairs, FX1 together with FX2, and FX3 with FX4.

12. PFL / AFL - Indicator
This LED lights up, if any of the PFL / AFL-switches is depressed.
