11. TP8 function settings

The TP8 measures the following temperature val-
ues during each measurement: maximum (MAX),
minimum (MIN), difference (DIF) and average (AVG).
These values are stored until the next measure-
ment and can be displayed on the functional
temperature display

The alarm values "High-Alarm" (HAL) and "Low-
Alarm" (LAL) as well as the emission factor
(EMS) can also be set with the mode button
. With each pressing of the mode button the
TP8 changes to the next function mode (see figure).
Each time a new measurement is taken the old maximum
(MAX), minimum (MIN), difference (DIF) and average (AVG)
values are overwritten and the new values recorded.

To activate the acoustic alarm function set the "Set Alarm
OFF/ON" sliding switch in the battery compartment to the
"ON" position. When the alarm function is activated the alarm
symbols "Hi" and "Low"
The TP8 has a permanent measurement function. To activate
this function set the sliding switch "Lock OFF/ON"
"ON" position. The symbol for permanent measurement
appears in the display.

12. Care and maintenance
