This infrared thermometer has been built according to the current
state-of-the-art. The instrument is compliant with the standards
EN60825-1, EN61000 6-3 2001, EN 61000 6-1 2001 and meets
the requirements of the European and national re gu lations that
are applicable. The conformity has been proven, the appropriate
declarations and documents are kept by the manufacturer.
To maintain this status and ensure safe op eration, you, the
user, must observe the instructions in this user guide!
The intended use involves non-contact measurement of tem-
peratures from -35 to +800 °C (TP4 model) and temperatures
from -50 to +1,000 °C (TP8 model).
Only 9V batteries of type NEDA 1604, IEC 6LR61 or types of
similar construction may be used to supply power.
Operation is only permitted in dry environments; contact with
moisture must be absolutely avoided.
Usage varying from that described above will lead to the prod-
uct being damaged. Furthermore, this is associated with risks
such as short circuiting, fires etc. No part of the product may be
opened, modified or converted.
