3. Choosing the location for the central vacuum cleaner
The central vacuum cleaner is to be set up in the basement, storage
room, utility room or garage! Installation in the utility room depends
on local fire protection regulations. Under no circumstances is the
central vacuum cleaner to be installed in a damp room or near highly
inflammable liquids and materials or in explosion-hazardous areas.
The following points are to be considered when selecting the location
and installing the system:
– Lowest room in the overall system, see also table, Page 22.
– Room temperature should be over 5°C max. 25°C all the year round.
4. Selection of the vacuum socket arrangement
– Vacuum sockets to be set up in frost-free rooms and as far as
possible in the lower part of the wall (approx. 30-70 cm above
the floor for convenient working.)
– Vacuum sockets are to be easily accessible.
– All areas to be cleaned should be easy to reach with the flexible
suction hose (8 m long).
Please consider the following when taking measurements:
Garage
– Good room ventilation an aeration, min. 150 cm
– Vacuum appliance are not to be set up behind steel doors.
To be observed with model 451 ZA:
– Never install the receiver in a fuse box or in the vicinity of other
technical equipment remote-controlled by radio.
– Do not locate receivers behind steel doors.
Minimum distance between central vacuum unit and
receiver is 2 metres (see point 5.4).
– You have to get around furniture, open doors and other obstacles.
– Do not forget to provide vacuum sockets in the hobby room and in
the garage*.
– Do not hinder the installation and fitting of furniture which is
why entrance areas, corridors and areas behind doors are to be
selected.
