1. Starting the engine
Each time the engine is started, first check that the air filter is cor-
rectly and securely seated. The basic setting of the engine is adju-
sted in the factory. the fuel mixture should be 1:25 = 4% 2-stroke
oil (5 l fuel/200 ml oil). Suitable fuel: Super or Superplus petrol.
2. Starting a cold engine
Close the throttle lever or place it in the idle position. Close the
choke flap on the carburettor. Now press the priming pump on
the carburettor until it is filled with fuel. Pull out the pull starter
until the first resistance is felt and then give it a good tug until
the engine is heard to fire. As a rule the motor will stop after firing
for the first time. Now open the choke flap and pull on the starter
again until the engine runs.
To stop the engine, press the ignition interrupt / OFF switch until
the engine remains stopped.

3. Starting a hot engine
Leave the choke flap open. Press the priming pump and pull on the
starter. To stop the engine, press the OFF switch until the engine
remains stopped.
WARNING!
Only keep the engine at maximum speed for a short time with no
load. In most cases, the idle stop screw will need to be readjusted
if the idle mixture screw 1 or the full load mixture screw 2 has been
adjusted.

4. carburettor settings
The carburettor is factory adjusted for local conditions. Depending
on the air filter, silencer and and place of use, a correction may be
required.
Drive the model to bring the engine up to its working temperature.
If there is some delay in engine acceleration, it is running too lean.
In this case, turn the idle mixture screw somewhat anti-clockwise.
If the engine only comes up to speed slowly, with stuttering and
smoky exhaust, it is probably running too rich, i.e. the idle mixture
screw 1 should be turned somewhat clockwise.
To set the maximum engine speed, lift the rear wheels and, with
the engine hot, fully open the throttle briefly.
You can now turn the full load mixture screw 2 anti-clockwise if the
mixture is too lean or clockwise if the mixture is too rich.

5. Basic carburettor settings
The values given are guide values. In some cases, readjustment is
required. If you have the feeling that the idle mixture screw 1 and/
or the full load mixture screw 2 are completely misadjusted, then
turn both setting screws 1 + 2 carefully clockwise as far as they will
go. Then turn the setting screws anti-clockwise according to the
following values.
1 idle mixture screw 1 turn
2 full load mixture screw 1.25 turns
The first and second times the tank is filled, avoid running at maxi-
mum speed with no load and running at full throttle on car parks.
The first time the model is used, a range test with the radio control
should be carried out with the engine running.
Never run the engine in enclosed spaces with inadequate ventila-
tion. Further safety instructions are included with the engine.
