If you have reasons to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, then dis-
connect the appliance immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Dis-
connect the mains plug from the socket!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is any visible damage to the appliance
• the appliance does not function for some reason
• when the appliance has been stored for long periods of time under unfavourable
conditions or
• when the appliance was subjected to unsuitable conditions of transport
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing
the amplifier:
live components may be exposed if the covering is opened or
components are removed.
before servicing or repair works, the appliance must be discon-
nected from all sources of power.
capacitors in the appliance may still be charged even after dis-
connection from all power sources.
Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, dis-
connect the appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist.
Repair work must always be carried out by qualified experts famil-
iar with the hazards involved and with the relevant regulations.
If fuses need to be changed, make sure they are replaced exclusively with fuses of
the same type and rated current (refer to the Technical Data).
It is absolutely impermissible to repair fuses or bridge the fuse
holder.
• After disconnecting the device from the voltage source (disconnect the power
cable!), use a suitable screwdriver to prise out the fuse holder (9) with the defective
fuse.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now screw the fuse cap with the new fuse cautiously back into the fuse holder (9).
• Only then should the appliance be re-connected to the mains power and operated.
Cleaning
The outside of the device should be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush only. Nev-
er use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as the surface of the housing
could be damaged.

tions to the product are not permitted.
• As source of voltage, only a correct mains socket (230V~/50Hz) of the public
supply system with an earthing contact may be used.
• Extra care should be taken when starting up the appliance. Please follow the oper-
ating instructions carefully.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the mains cable is not pinched or
damaged by sharp edges.
• Devices operated using mains voltage must be kept out of the reach of children.
For this reason, be particularly cautious when using the device in the presence of
children. They may try to stick objects into the device through openings in the
housing. Hazard of suffering a fatal electrical shock!
• Never pour out liquids above electrical appliances and never leave objects filled
with liquids (e.g. vases) in the vicinity. Imminent danger of a fire or of a fatal electri-
cal shock! If fluid does get into the device, immediately disconnect the power plug
from the mains socket and revert to an expert.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or spray water, strong
vibration or heavy mechanical loads.
• Do not place open sources of fire such as burning candles alongside the appli-
