15. Maintenance and Cleaning
15.1 Cleaning of Display
The unit must be switched off and disconnected from the
power supply for all cleaning work.
Fire hazard: Do not use flammable detergents or solvents
to clean the unit.
Do not clean the device with acetone or similar products.
Incorrect measurements: A dirty cuvette slot can lead to
contamination of the inserted cuvettes and to incorrect results.
Check the cleanliness of the cuvette slot and the adapters at
regular intervals and during maintenance. Clean the cuvette
slot and the adapters in case of contamination (see section
cleaning).
Make sure that there is no cuvette and no cuvette adapter in
the cuvette shaft.
Malfunction or damage of the device due to incorrect mainte-
nance. Maintenance of the device may only be carried out by
qualified personnel
Only use accessories and spare parts approved by the man-
ufacturer. If parts not approved by the manufacturer are used,
the operator is responsible for the conformity of the device and
the warranty will be voided.
If necessary, clean or dry the touchscreen with a soft, lint-free
cotton cloth. The enclosed cuvette cleaning cloth can be used for
this purpose. Do not use liquid glass cleaners. Wipe off excess
water immediately. Avoid scratching the display. Do not use ball-
point pens or other pointed objects to operate the touch screen.
Any stylus suitable for PCAP displays can be used to operate the
touch screen.
