To remove the icon from the sample information bar, proceed in
the same way and set the slider to inactive. The following sample
information can be added to the sample:
Sample Number: Sample numbers are assigned automatically
n
and consecutively by the instrument. By pressing the sample
number icon, you can assign a sample number manually. The-
reafter, the instrument will count forward based on the manually
assigned sample number.
Sample Date & Time: Date and time of the sampling.
n
Comment: Additional information about the sample (e.g. appea-
n
rance of the sample, turbidity)
Sample Author: Name of the person, who has collected the
n
sample
Sample type: Information on the nature of the sample (e.g. 24 h
n
Composite sample).
Location: Information on the place of origin of the sample.
n
Operator: Name of the user who performs the measurement. In
n
user mode, a name can be entered here, if the user is different
from the user who is logged in.
Dilution: The dilution of the sample can be entered here. Depen-
n
ding on the setting in the settings menu for dilution, the dilution is
displayed either as "1+X" or „1:X". The result of the measurement
is converted automatically.

The Submethod entry allows you to change the reference unit
and the reference quantity (e.g. PO₄-P). The active submethod is
highlighted.
When changing the submethod, the result is automatically con-
verted. Removing the cuvette or exiting the measuring menu
via the other icons in the taskbar quits the measurement, and
the result will be stored in the measured value memory of the
instrument. The last selected submethod is used the next time the
corresponding method is called up.
The Settings entry is a quick way to change settings for the display
of the measurement result. Activating the slider for Show absor-
bance activates the display of the absorbance and transmission
value of the measurement to the left of the measurement result.
By activating the entry 20–80 % measuring range a colored bar is
displayed to the right of the measurement result, which shows the
position of the measurement result in the measuring range. If the
bar is colored green, the result is within the 20–80 % measuring
range. If the bar is yellow, the result is within the measuring range
but outside the 20–80 % measuring range. If the bar is colored
red, the measured value is outside the measuring range. The
measuring range limits are displayed above and below the bar.
