CAUTION! When the hot water switch (4) is on, its LED will alternate between flashing and a steady light. This
means that the espresso machine is reheating the water to keep it at temperature.

MAKING COFFEE

1. Preheat the espresso machine as instructed above.
2. Detach the filter holder (18) with the filter (16) or (17). Put fine ground coffee in the filter and
then press it down well with the tamper (21) so that the coffee level is smooth, well tamped
and definitely slightly above the filter rim. The 1-shot filter (16) is enough for one cup of es-
presso while the 2-shot filter (17) is enough for two cups of espresso.
CAUTION! Do not add more than 10 g of coffee to the 1-shot filter. Do not add more than 20 g of coffee to the
2-shot filter.
3. Attach the filter holder with the filter and the tamped coffee to the receptacle.
CAUTION! The filter holder and the filter are hot. Touch the filter holder handle only. Handle with care. Risk of
burns!
4. Place a cup in the centre of the drip tray grate. Cups can be heated with the cup heater (2).
5. Make sure that the espresso machine is hot enough after preheating. The (4) LED must be
steadily on which means that the water is at the right temperature for brewing. If the LED is
flashing, the water is reheated. Wait for it to stop flashing.
CAUTION! The espresso machine is ready for use after approx. 100 seconds from powering on. The process may
take longer depending on the temperature of the water used, the ambient temperature, and atmospheric
pressure.
6. Turn on the pressure switch (5). The highly pressurized water will be forced into the filter
holder with the coffee inside and leave it through the two ports at the filter holder bottom.
Remember to pass the water when the (4) LED is steadily on. The full coffee aroma is only
developed with the water at the right temperature.
7. If you installed the 2-shot filter (17), put two cups. The holes in the grate are located
8. directly below the coffee dispensing spout.
9. Take the cup from the espresso machine, power it off, and unplug it from the mains. Detach
the filter holder. Remove the filter and immediately rinse it clean under running water and
leave to dry before making another espresso.
CAUTION! The filter holder and its handle, the filter and the filter holder receptacle are hot. Handle with care.
Risk of burns! Always hold the filter holder by the handle. Frequently empty the drip tray of water and swill.
CAUTION! Frequently monitor the water level in the tank. Do not let the espresso machine run without water.
Do not remove the water tank while the espresso machine is powered on or brewing.
CAUTION! The espresso machine features automatic power-off after 30 minutes from powering on.

FROTHING MILK

The milk frothing feature helps make milk froth or heat milk for the coffee. The milk is frothed
with a jet of hot steam forced under pressure from the steam jet nozzle (7). Make your coffee
first, then process the milk.
CAUTION! The released steam jet is hot. Handle with care. Risk of burns!
