Adding Rear Speakers
(Wireless Surround)
You can add wireless speakers
manufactured by Sony (not supplied) as
the surround speakers of the system.
Use the same model for the two wireless
speakers.

Notes
• The wireless surround function will be
available with the system version
M34.R.2000 or later and the wireless
speaker version 2.00 or later. If you
cannot set the wireless surround
function, version of the system or wireless
speaker may not be the latest version. To
check the system version information,
see [System Information] (page 53). For
details about the updating method of the
system, see [Software Update] (page 49).
For details about the updating method of
the wireless speaker, refer to the
operating instructions of the wireless
speaker.
• The software of the wireless speaker is
not updated automatically when using
the wireless surround function. To
update, cancel the wireless surround
function and connect the wireless
speaker to the internet.
• When using the wireless surround
function, the wireless LAN function is not
available. Connect to the network with a
wired LAN.
• When using the wireless surround
function, the Screen mirroring function
(page 38) is not available.
• When using the wireless surround
function, you cannot set [Bluetooth
Mode] to [Transmitter] (page 50).
• When using the wireless surround
function, [Bluetooth Codec - LDAC
(page 51) is not available.
To perform the setting on the
system

Install the applicable speakers,
and turn them on.

Press HOME.
The home menu appears on the TV
screen.

Select
[Setup] from the home
menu.
The setup display appears on the TV
screen.

Select [Wireless Surround
Settings].

Perform the setting by following
the on-screen instructions.
Tip
You can display the setting display for the
wireless surround function by selecting
[Wireless Surround] on the home menu.
