Serie HFK - HFT
This set of battery chargers is planned for flooded lead acid battery and gel recharging
Before charging, read carefully the instruction
For indoor use. Do not expose to rain
Disconnect the supply before making or breaking the connections to the battery
The HFK chargers with power higher than 3KW will need a single phase Ac plug 2P+ground 32A
WARNING: Explosive gas! Prevent flames and sparks and provide adequate ventilation during charging.

The curve profile pre-selected is well indicated on the sticker with a letter after the model code (i.e. HFK -H  curve
IUIUo).

Electrical information
Read the electric data on the charger identification plate and check they are in conformity with your electric system and
the battery it should recharge:

Mains voltage. Usually, it is 230V-50Hz AC for single-phase systems and 400V-50Hz for three-phase systems.
The Ac mains current. Some HFK models will require a single-phase Ac mains plug 2P+ground 32A

The Battery voltage. Its voltage rating must correspond with voltage of battery charger.

The maximum charging current. For the correct value, please refer the special capacity/current table, available at
our
office.

Battery capacity: once the battery charger is ON pls verify that parameter 0 (battery capacity) corresponds to
capacity of your battery (see battery plate data). In case of any discrepancy pls contact our technical department for
assistance.

Verify with battery manufacturer that charging profile is suitable for the recharge
WARNING: WRONG SETTING CAN CAUSE SEROIOUS DAMAGES TO YOUR BATTERY
If charger electric data are not in accordance with your electric system or your battery do NOT connect the charger!
In case of failure or malfunctioning, turn off the machine and do not try to repair. Please, call our technical service or
service centre nearest to you. Be as accurate as possible on describing the problem found.
Any reparation or replacement of parts must be authorised in writing by our technical department.

Safety and reference rules
Specialised personnel must make the electrical connection. We suggest you to contact personnel able to
issue a declaration of conformity for the work made. The declaration must include the connection to the
ground, the verification of the power of the plug and the Ac Main. The electrical safety is assured only when
the plug is connected to an efficient ground. Installing procedures are available in our office.
The fitting or replacement of the charger plug must be completed by specialized personnel.
Protect the power supply cables with slow fuses or magneto thermal switch (D curve).
Before executing maintenance or repairing on the battery charger, please make sure that the Ac Mains plug
and the battery plug are disconnected.
If the power cables or the battery charger cables are worn or even partially damaged, please replace them
by specialised personnel. At our office, you can find "Routine and extraordinary maintenance" forms.

Visualizations and settings
The main functions are well represented by the lighting LEDs on the card.
L1, L2, and L3 LED show the charging status of the battery. The L4 LED shows possible alarms of the battery charger.
