Servicing
The Altivar 11 does not require any
preventative maintenance. It is
nevertheless advisable to carry out the
following operations regularly :
Check the condition and tightness of
–
connections.
Check that the temperature around
–
the unit remains at an acceptable
level and that the ventilation is
effective (average service life of fans
: 3 to 5 years depending on
operating conditions).
Remove any dust from the speed
–
controller.

Corrective actions
Check the settings.
Check the motor / speed controller / load sizing.
Check the state of the mechanism.
Check the cables connecting the speed controller to the
motor, and the insulation of the motor.
Check the environment (electromagnetic compatibility).
Check that the "local control" option has not been connected
or disconnected with the controller powered up.
Send the speed controller to be checked / repaired.
Return to factory settings or call up the backup configuration,
if it is valid. See parameter FCS in the FUn menu.
Check the motor, gain and stability parameters.
Add a braking resistor and module.
Check the size of the motor/drive/load.
Check the motor load, the speed controller ventilation and the
environment. Wait for the controller to cool before restarting.
Check the setting of the motor thermal protection, check the
motor load. Wait for the controller to cool before restarting.
Check the line voltage.
Increase the deceleration time.
Install a braking resistor if necessary.
Activate the brA function if it is compatible with the
application.
Check the power connection and the fuses.
Reset
Disable the fault by setting IPL = nO (FUn menu)
Check the voltage and the voltage parameter.
Reset.
Send the speed controller to be checked / repaired.
