PAX SYSTEM wheels can be balanced with this function
(see Figure 5.3.2.7-1). When the PAX function is on,
the display is set for dimensions to be entered in mm as
required by this type of wheel.
•
Follow the operative instructions previously indicated for
ALU4 wheels.

With the ALU Special mode, the exact distance where
the adhesive weight is applied on the internal and
external side of the ALU 4 mode is set.
•
Press the "ALU" button until the "MOTO", "PAX" and
"ALU 4/ ALU 5" led simultaneously turn on.
The ALU Special procedure is now on (see Figures
5.3.2.8-1-2).
•
Extract the internal detector arm and position the probe
on the point where the counterweight is to be applied,

on the internal plane, indicated by the left Led.
•
Await the measurement completed acoustic signal, un-
til the display shows the offset read and the internal plane
led starts to blink.
•
Manually accompany the arm to its original position to
obtain effective data entry.
Proceed with external plane reading (left Led).
•
Newly extract the detector arm and perform internal plane
reading, indicated by the right led.

•
Await the measurement completed acoustic signal, then
manually accompany the arm to its original position to
obtain effective data entry.
•
Rotate the wheel to the WAP position of the right plane
and apply the weight.
•
At this step you can choice to perform the Behind Spoke
Mode. If so, please refer to specific procedure listed
below, otherwise follow up with the below described
steps.
•
Arrange the adhesive weight to be fastened to the inter-
nal side on the arm applicator.
•
Rotate and keep the wheel stopped in the positioned
specified by the left WAP indicator.
•
Extract the internal arm detector, the display signals the
missing distance from point 0 (zero) of counterweight
application.
•
Arrange a weight as indicated on the display in the De-
tector Arm applicator.
•
Rotate the arm towards the rim and apply the adhesive
weight.
•
Move the arm back to idle position.
•
Repeat the operation with the same procedure for the
external weight.
•
Perform a check spin.
Behind Spoke Mode.
Use this mode to hide adhesive weights behind the spokes
in aluminium radial wheels.
•
Follow the instructions indicated for "ALU Special" wheels
through the end of internal counterweight application.
•
Rotate the wheel to the right plane WAP position.
•
Press button "F".
"S 1" will appear on the right display.
•
Move the radial closer to the upper part in the 12 o'clock
position.
•
Press button "F".
"S - -" will appear on the right display.
•
Move the radial next to the first to the 12 o'clock posi-
tion.
