Prior to Use
3.2
Inserting /
removing
batteries
1. The round insulating film must be removed from the battery compartment
before the device is used for the first time. To do this, open battery
compartment
(see below, Section 3.2). Remove the battery and take the
round insulating film out of the battery holder. Insert the coin cell battery
carefully and push the compartment lid back in place.
2. Attach electrode pad
contact jacks
into one another (see front fold-out page).
3. Do not remove the protective plastic film from the underside of electrode
pad
until the device and the electrode are firmly attached to one
another, and only remove it when the device is to be used. The protective
plastic film serves as additional protection for the electrode pad during
storage in the storage box.
4. The area of skin to which electrode pad
should be clean and free from grease to ensure that the electrode pad
retains its adhesion for a long time.
5. Remove the protective plastic film from the underside of the electrode pad
so that it is ready for use. Hold the electrode firmly by its edge and remove
the film by peeling it off evenly.
Open the battery compartment by sliding the lid and compartment in opposite
directions. Remove the spent battery and replace it by inserting a new coin cell
battery (CR 2032) into the battery compartment with the + pole uppermost
(see diagram). Slide the lid back onto the lower casing and close the battery
compartment.
