OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS - ENGLISH
Problem
No signal via the headphone.
When turning on the
Headzone
®
system, the
settings do not correspond to
the settings stored when the
system was turned off last.
The audio material sounds
distorted.
Possible cause
• Wrong S/PDIF input
selected.
• The connected DVD/Blu-ray
player produces no signal at
the S/PDIF output (this can
happen if DTS
®
traces occur
when the player does not
support DTS
®
format).
• The connected player
produces a PCM signal with
a too high sampling rate
(e.g. 96 kHz audio track of
a DVD audio).
• As described in this manual,
Headzone
®
will store all set-
tings automatically.
Seldom, it can occur that
the device is turned off
during storing or that it is
turned off before all
settings are stored.
• Volume settings that
exceed 2/3 of the control
range are not stored to
avoid extreme volume
level when turning on
Headzone
®
Game again.
• The audio output levels are
set too high.

Solution
• Select the correct input
(optical or coaxial) with the
"Input select" switch µ on
the rear of the HBC 1 base
station.
• Select another audio track
on your DVD/Blu-ray disc.
• Select another audio track
on your DVD/Blu-ray disc.
• Many DVD/Blu-ray players
provide the option to sam-
ple down audio tracks with
a high sampling rate. Select
this option in the configu-
ration menu of your
DVD/Blu-ray player.
• After having changed some
Headzone
®
settings wait at
least 3 seconds before you
turn off the device. When
all settings are set to "0"
after turning Headzone
Game on, restore the
factory settings as described
at the beginning of this
chapter.
• Set the volume to the
desired level.
• Reduce the volume by using
the multifunction control
on the front panel of the
HBC 1 base station.
