The device should not be used in any of the following circumstances:
– If you have implanted electrical devices (e.g. a pacemaker);
– If you have metal implants in the area that you wish to treat;
– If you suffer from cardiac arrhythmia;
– If you suffer from an acute illness;
– If you suffer from epilepsy;
– If you have cancer;
– If there are skin lesions or cuts in the area to be treated;
– If you are pregnant;
– On the spine;
– If you have a propensity to bleed e.g. after a serious accident or fracture, as
the electrical muscle stimulation can trigger or increase bleeding;
– I f you have recently had an operation and strong muscle contractions could affect the healing
process;
– If you are connected to a high-frequency surgical device;
– If you are in close proximity to electrical monitoring devices (e.g. ECG);
– If you suffer from low or high blood pressure;
– If you have a high fever;
– If you suffer from psychosis;
– If the area to be treated is swollen or inflamed;
– If you are in close proximity (less than 1 m) to shortwave or microwave therapy devices, as
they may cause fluctuations in the output values of the device;
– Do not use the device whilst asleep, driving a vehicle or operating machinery.

Notes on handling batteries
– If your skin or eyes come into contact with battery fluid, flush out the affected areas with
water and seek medical assistance.

Choking hazard! Small children may swallow and choke on batteries. Store the batteries
out of the reach of small children.
– Observe the plus (+) and minus (-) polarity signs.
– If a battery has leaked, put on protective gloves and clean the battery compartment with a
dry cloth.
– Protect the batteries from excessive heat.

Risk of explosion! Never throw batteries into a fire.
– Do not charge or short-circuit batteries.
– If the device is not to be used for a long period, take the batteries out of the battery compart-
ment.
– Use identical or equivalent battery types only.
– Always replace all batteries at the same time.
