Check the hydraulic oil usage
Caution
Use hydraulic oil with the correct specifications and make sure no dirt or dust enters the
hydraulic tank to prevent damage to the pump and tools.
•
If the pump is used at temperatures:
-
Higher than -10 °C: check the hydraulic oil level and add ISO-L HV VG 36 oil, if necessary.
-
Lower than -10 °C: replace the hydraulic oil with ISO-L HV VG 15 oil because the pump is
delivered with ISO-L HV VG 36 hydraulic oil.

Check the drive with electric motor
Caution
A licensed electrician is required to replace an electrical power connector.
•
Fit the correct electrical power connector, if necessary.
•
Check whether the voltage and power rating of the electrical power is in accordance with that of the
motor. See the specifications on the motor name plate.

Operation
5.1
System operation
5.1.1
General
A system is an assembly of a hydraulic pump, hose(s), and one or more tools.
The hydraulic pump displaces hydraulic oil and is capable of building up pressure.
The hose is for transporting the hydraulic oil between the pump and the tool.
The single-acting tool has a hydraulic cylinder containing a piston that can move axially. If the cylinder is
pumped full from the bottom, the pressure builds up beneath the piston so that it is pushed to the
outside. The axial movement of the piston is used directly to a ram or transferred to a spreading or
cutting mechanism. When the oil pressure is released on the pump, a spring forces the piston back into
the cylinder and the oil flows back to the pump.
5.1.2
High-Flow couplers
The High-Flow coupler is a screw-on coupler used on a single or duo-hose system.
In case of duo hoses, the supply hose and the return hose are bundled together with ties. Each end of
both hoses has the same coupler: female and male couplers.
If you want to connect or disconnect a tool and/or a hose, you must depressurize the system first.
