11. Troubleshooting
No picture, no sound
• Check the voltage/power supply (plug-in mains unit) and correct wiring of the outdoor unit.
• Check that the rechargeable batteries of the mobile unit are charged and that the mobile unit is on.
• Register the outdoor unit at the mobile unit.
The mobile unit cannot be switched on
• Charge the mobile unit.
• Check that the rechargeable batteries are inserted correctly.
Door opener does not work
• Check the correct wiring of the door opener at the outdoor unit.
• Since the outdoor unit has a potential-free relay switching contact, the door opener cannot be connec-
ted directly. You will need an external voltage/power supply for the door opener.
• There are door openers of the type „Fail Secure" (working current door openers) and door openers of the
type „Fail Safe" (quiescent current door openers). Depending on the door opener used, choose the right
wiring; see chapter 8. b).
• If required, set a different activation time for the door opener at the mobile unit.
• The relay cannot be activated if the outdoor unit is operated by battery. Therefore, the connected door
opener is not operated.
Doorbell button/name tag is not lit
• Check correct wiring at the outdoor unit.
• If the outdoor unit is operated by battery, the doorbell button or name tag cannot be lit.
The outdoor unit cannot be activated from the mobile unit
• This function is not available if the outdoor unit is operated by battery.
Low range
• Unfold the aerial of the mobile unit.
• Do not point the aerial at the outdoor unit. This will greatly reduce range.
• Observe Chapter 12.
Loud whistling sounds
• If the outdoor unit and the mobile unit are too close together, there will be a feedback loop. Keep enough
distance between the two units.
