Only BRITA Maxtra water filtration
system cartridges may be used in ma­
chines with a water filtration system.
The BRITA Maxtra cartridges may be ob-
tained from various retailers or directly from
your Bosch Service Center (please find
contact details on page 186).

Your machine can be operated with or
without a filter cartridge. Simply remove
the filter holder and filter cartridge from the
water tank if you don't want to use it.
When using a new filter cartridge in the
machine, please observe the following
procedure:

Remove the filter cartridge from the pro-

tective wrap.
Immerse the filter cartridge in cold tap

water and move it gently back and forth
to eliminate air bubbles (approx. 5 sec.).
Remove the filter holder in the water

tank and insert the filter cartridge in the
appropriate chamber of the filter holder,
until it makes an audible clicking sound.
