USE
USE
Note: as the temperature of the oven rises very rapidly, preheating is unnecessary except
for very tricky recipes such as soufflés or if the cooking times are very short.
1 – USE IN COOKING MODE
- Plug in the appliance.
- Place the food to be cooked in the oven.
- Select the required function using the function selector (7).
- Set the required temperature using the thermostat (4).
- Set the cooking time by adjusting the timer (6).
- The timer starts counting down, the "On" indicator light comes on and the appliance starts
heating.
- After cooking, when the set time has elapsed, the appliance switches itself off
automatically.
- To stop the oven before the end of the set time, set the function selector (7) to the "stop"
position.
Recommendations for roasting and browning :
A slight emission of smoke is part of the process of roasting food. However, the amount of
smoke given off can be reduced by following the recommendations indicated below :
• Do not cover the grill with aluminium foil. This causes smoke and spattering by preventing
the fat from running off. It also prevents correct circulation of the air in the oven.
• Place a receptacle filled with water in the oven. This reduces the amount of smoke given
off.
• For better results, thaw meat before cooking it.
• Remove as much fat as possible from the food to be cooked.
• If fat is spattered during cooking, lower the temperature.
• Clean the oven and accessories carefully after each use with a non-abrasive sponge and
hot water or using the steam function.
2 – USE IN STEAM AND COMBINED STEAM MODE
a- Pre-filling the water tank
- Remove the water tank (2) from its housing by pulling it with the handle.
- Unscrew the plug of the tank (14). Fill the tank from a tap. You can fill the tank completely
without any risk of leakage, or half-fill it if the envisaged cooking time is short. Screw the
plug back on the tank (14).
- Put the filled tank back in its housing, sliding the bottom of the tank into place first. When
the tank is correctly positioned, 200 ml of water runs off into the oven's internal tank.
