When using any electrical appliance, certain basic precautions must be taken.
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.

that of your electrical installation. If this is not the case, contact the dealer and do not plug
in the appliance.

• This appliance is intended for domestic use. It must be used in accordance with the
instructions in the manual. Never use it for other purposes.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. Comply with the instructions for
cleaning.
• Never use the appliance outdoors. This appliance must be used in a dry place.
• Do not use the appliance with wet or damp hands.
• Never use the appliance on or near hot surfaces.
• Never move or unplug the appliance by pulling on the power supply lead.
• Unplug the appliance before cleaning it or replacing a component.
• Do not place sharp metal objects or your fingers in the appliance.
• The length of the lead of this appliance has been calculated to reduce the risk of
accidents. If it is too short, use an extension lead, being careful not to let it hang over the
work surface and take all necessary precautions to ensure that it cannot be tripped over
or pulled accidentally.
• Check the condition of the power supply lead regularly. Never use the appliance if the
power supply lead, the plug or the appliance are damaged.
• The power supply lead must in no circumstances come into contact with the hot parts of
the appliance. If the lead becomes abnormally hot, contact an approved repair service.
• Never repair the appliance yourself. The guarantee would then no longer be applicable.
Like any electrical appliance, it must be repaired by a qualified person. Similarly, replacing
the power supply lead constitutes a significant safety hazard and it is necessary to contact
an approved repair service.
