F. Test Inlet Pressure
IMPORTANT: For a proper pressure reading, apply the gas supply
pressure tests with all other gas appliances on or at full capacity in the
household.
Step 1: Loosen the inlet (IN) pressure tap screw (counter-clockwise) on
the gas valve.
Step 2: Attach a manometer to the inlet pressure tap with a 1/4" (6mm)
I.D. hose.
Step 3: Light the pilot.
Step 4: Turn the gas control knob to ON. Burner should not light. Note
manometer reading.
Step 5: Press the rocker switch to ON. Check pressure to ensure it is
near maximum inlet pressure. See TABLE 3.
Step 6: Press the rocker switch to OFF.
Step 7: Turn the gas control knob to OFF.
Step 8: Disconnect hose and tighten the inlet (IN) pressure tap by
turning screw clockwise. Screw should be snug. Do not
over tighten.
Step 9: Relight pilot and turn the gas control knob to ON. Reattach
manometer to the inlet pressure tap to verify tap is completely
sealed. Manometer should read no pressure.

G. Test Manifold Pressure
Step 1: Light pilot.
Step 2: Loosen the manifold (OUT) pressure tap screw (counter-
clockwise) on the gas valve.
Step 3: Attach a manometer to the outlet pressure tap with a 1/4 in. (6
mm) I.D. hose.
Step 4: Turn gas control knob to ON.
Step 5: Press the rocker switch to on ON and note manometer reading.
See TABLE 4.
Step 6: Disconnect hose and tighten manifold (OUT) pressure tap screw
(clockwise). The screw should be snug. Do not over tighten.
Step 7: Reattach the manometer to the outlet pressure tap to verify the
tap is completely sealed. Manometer should read no pressure
when the rocker switch is pressed to ON.

H. Verify Operation
Step 1: Light the pilot. Verify pilot flame appearance. Flame should
envelop top of thermocouple and thermopile 3/8" (10mm) to 1/2"
1/2" (12mm)
(13mm), and extend onto burner far enough for proper ignition.
Step 2: To adjust the pilot flame, remove pilot adjustment screw cover
from the gas valve. Turn the pilot adjustment screw on the
gas valve clockwise to decrease flame, or counter-clockwise
to increase flame. Reinstall pilot adjustment screw cover
and tighten.
Step 3: Turn the pilot off.
Step 4: Affix the gas type sticker to label.
Step 5: Re-install the glass frame assembly, access cover, and
safety barrier.
Step 6: Visually check the burner flame appearance for proper ignition
and operation of the fireplace. Refer to the installation manual
for complete adjustment procedures.
Step 7: Complete and affix the 'Gas Conversion' label as close to the
rating plate as possible.
Step 8: Verify the input rating of the converted appliance. See TABLE 5.
