SAFETY MESSAGES TO INSTALLERS AND USERS
The product should be installed by a licensed electrician
and follow all safety instructions. Failure to do so may
result in property damage, serious injury, or death.
• HIGH VOLTAGE SHOCK HAZARD: Wait 5 minutes
after removing power before removing the dome. Do
not connect wires when the circuits are energized.
• To be an effective warning device, this product
produces bright light that could be hazardous to your
eyesight. Do not stare directly at the light. Rapid
flashing could induce photosensitive epilepsy.
• Never alter the unit in any manner. Safety in
hazardous locations may be endangered if additional
openings or alternations are made.
• WARNING - EXPLOSION HAZARD: Disconnect the
fixture from the supply circuit before opening. Keep
the unit tightly closed when in operation. Do not
disconnect while the circuit is live. Substitution
of components may impair suitability for CIass I,
Division 2. Do not install the unit in a hazardous
location if the operating temperature exceeds the
atmosphere's ignition temperature.

OVERVIEW — Models 225XST and 225XST-N are available
in 12-24 Vdc, 120 Vac (50/60 Hz) or 240 Vac (50/60 Hz).
Models 224XST and 225XST-I are available in 24 Vdc.
These hazardous location strobe warning lights produce
80 FPM.
Certifications and Ratings
• UL and cUL Listed for Class I, Division 2, Groups A,
B, C and D; Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G; Class
III; or non-hazardous locations.
• Type 4X, IP66 enclosure. Indoor or outdoor use.
• IP69K Compliant
• CSA Certified
• Model 225XST-N is NSF Certified (dome-up) for
Splash Zones and Non-food Zones to NSF/ANSI 2:
Food Equipment.
• Model 224XST is CSFM Approved.
• Electrical ratings: 0.70 A (24VDC), 1.70-0.70 A (12-
24VDC), 0.20 A (120VAC, 240VAC)

Unpacking the Device — After unpacking the device,
examine it for damage and verify the parts. If a part is
missing or damaged do not attempt to install and contact
Federal Signal Customer Support.
Installation
WARNING - SHOCK/FIRE HAZARD: For four-wire models,
all wires must be terminated. Failure to terminate both
sets of wires (black/red) will result in a shock or fire
hazard.
