c) Inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries
Do to the power consumption of the TFT display, the clock radio is usually powered by the
supplied wall power supply.
For this reason, AA batteries should only be used for backup purposes, e.g. to ensure that the
alarm function works in case of a power failure.
If AA batteries are to be used instead of the wall power supply, operating time
is very short.
Therefore, we recommend using the provided wall power supply as a power
source!
Open the battery compartment on the bottom by pushing the cover (19) towards the back.
Insert four AA batteries observing the correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-).
Close the battery compartment again.
d) Connecting the wall power supply
Connect the round low-voltage plug of the provided wall power supply with the corresponding
socket (14) on the back of the clock radio.
Plug the wall power supply into a suitable mains socket.
e) Connecting headphones
The 3.5mm stereo jack socket (12) on the right side allows you to connect e.g. the provided
earphones.
When earphones/headphones are connected, the internal loudspeaker (13) is
disabled automatically.
