Caring for the unit
If the unit is operated continuously, it should be cleaned at regular intervals. Proceed as follows:
Unplug the unit's power cord from the mains outlet!
Pull the outlet grate upwards and out of the unit.
Visually inspect the evaporation filter and replace it as required (refer to "Filter Replacement").
Now pull the lower housing panel upwards and out of the unit.
Remove the filter from the front.
Next remove the water reservoir from the front.
Take care not to damage the water level electrodes when removing the reservoir.
Empty the water reservoir.
Using a damp cloth or sponge, clean the water reservoir and, if necessary, the inside of the unit. Rinse the reservoir with clean water.
Now reinstall the water reservoir by gently lifting the water level electrodes and carefully reinserting the reservoir.
Then reinstall the evaporation filter and reinsert the housing panel and the outlet grate from the top of the unit.
Reconnect the unit to the mains power supply (the indicator goes on), and switch the unit on.
Refill the humidifier with water. Observe the fill level indicator on the operator panel.
-> Do not overfill the unit!
Hygienic operation
When operating with clean fresh drinking water and maintained as instructed in this manual, the device must be used safely for humidifi-
cation in private households. Drinking water, however, contains bacteria and microorganisms. In order to ensure the hygienic and proper
operation of the humidifier, regular water exchange and regular cleaning is essential. Failure to do so may cause health problems. Therefore,
always follow the cleaning instructions and keep your device clean and fresh.
Annual Cleaning
In order to ensure continuous, hygienic operation, the unit must be cleaned annually. Proceed as follows:
Remove the filters from the unit as described in Fig. 1 and 2. Visually inspect the filters for contamination and lime deposits.
Replace the filters as required.
Remove the evaporation filter's frame and use a cloth to clean off any dirt or lime deposits. It may be necessary to employ a lime re-
moving agent.
Remove the water reservoir from the unit, taking care not to damage the water level electrodes. If the electrodes are excessively con-
taminated, use the coarse side of sponge to thoroughly clean them.
Remove all dirt and lime deposits from the water reservoir.
Wipe out the inside of the humidifier with a damp cloth.
Use only a damp cloth or mild cleansers to clean the outside of the unit. Acidic or alkaline cleansers can result in damage to the unit's
exterior cladding.
Automatic Water Replenishment (optional accessory)
When commissioning units equipped with automatic water replenishment, you must add approx. 5 litres of water to the reservoir by hand.
The automatic replenishment function will not begin operating until you perform this manual "priming". When connecting the unit to the
water source, use a safety pressure house (3/4" coupling) and our water monitor (max. water pressure: 10 bar).
The connections may only be made by an authorised, qualified tradesman.
Should the unit develop problems or faults, please check the following items for the possible cause:
Is the power cord correctly plugged into the mains outlet?
Is the unit receiving power (is the red indicator light on)?
Check the following unit settings:
Is the unit switched on?
Is there sufficient water in the reservoir?
Are the humidity values adjusted correctly? (Is the specified desired humidity higher than the actual humidity?)
Has the evaporation filter been pro perly installed?
Are the water level electrodes perhaps not properly positioned or do they exhibit excessive lime deposit?
Should you be unable to rectify the problem after performing the above troubleshooting steps, please contact your authorised dealer.
