Dear Valued Evenflo Consumer:
Thank you for contacting Evenflo regarding your Evenflo PortAbout® infant child restraint system. Please take a few moments to review the
following information to better ensure proper installation of your convenience base.
Evenflo and Transport Canada have determined that some PortAbout infant car seats have improperly assembled Universal Anchorage System
(UAS) straps. If the adjuster is on the right side of the base, the UAS attachment strap could potentially interfere with the adjuster in some vehicles
and permit slack in the UAS. Please refer to Figure 1 to see if your convenience base is affected.
If your adjuster is correct, as shown in Figure 1, your base was properly assembled and you may disregard this notice.
If your adjuster is installed incorrectly, as shown in Figure 2, please follow these steps to easily modify the UAS attachment.

of the base while allowing the UAS strap to
turn.

2
Pull the plastic retainer flat. The adjuster will be on
the underside of the strap, as shown. If it is not,
then rotate the UAS strap to place the adjuster
under the strap.
5
Insert the hooks into the openings at the front of
the base, as shown. Once you have completed
these steps, your UAS strap should look like the
correctly installed UAS strap in Figure 1.
