INSTALLATION
3.1
Mounting of metal and polycarbonate housing
1. Drill the mounting holes according to the mounting template.
For the polycarbonte housing a special mounting set for
installation onto mounting rails is available (see chapter 8 "Replacement
parts / Accessories").
2. The bottom part of the housing is mounted with 4 screws (screw
diameter: < 4.2mm
(0.2")
3. Connection of the transmitter (see chapter 4 "Electrical connections").
4. Mounting of the middle part and cover with 4 screws (included in
the scope of supply).
3.2
Mounting of probes
General:
When mounting the probes please note that the RH probe or
RH/T probe has to be mounted always at position 1, the
T probe at position 2. (independent if it is a remote
sensing probe or a fixed probe)
Mounting of EE220 with fixed sensing probes:
In order to avoid misreading caused by self-heating, the device
shall be installed so that the probes are pointing downwards.
In case condensation is likely to occur it is recommended to
use the EE220 version with remote probe, please see below.
Mounting of remote sensing probes:
The sensing probes can be connected to the EE220 housing with
special cables (2, 5 or 10m /

Generally the probe can be mounted with the filter cap
pointing up or down. For outdoor use the probe shall be used
with the radiation shield (Art. Nr. HA010502).
In applications with risk of condensation the probe shall be
installed horizontally. If possible, a dripping water protector
should be fitted.
