Maintenance
The Injection Unit 7XT71 is maintenance-free.
Wipe the device using a clean, dry and soft cloth if necessary. Do not use solvents.
Repair
You are not authorized to troubleshoot or repair a defective device. This does not
apply to replacing the F202 microfuse on the printed circuit board assembly. Spe-
cial electronic modules are inserted in the Injection Unit 7XT71 which can only be
replaced by the manufacturer according to the guidelines for electrostatic sensitive
devices (ESD).
If you suspect any damage on the dievice, Siemens recommends sending the en-
tire device to the manufacturer. For this purpose, it is best to use the original trans-
port packaging or similar packaging.
Replacing the microfuse F202
The power supply of the device is protected by a T2A/250V microfuse. The latter is
held by a snap-in fastener on the printed circuit board assembly and can be access-
ed by pulling the plug-in module out of the housing.
✧ To replace the microfuse F202, remove the plug-in module as described in
Chapter 9.2.2.
✧ Take the defective fuse F202 out of the snap-in fastener.
