Locomotive address:
The factory address setting for both versions is »03«. If you want change the locomotive address please refer
the corresponding programming instructions of your digital central unit manual (For integrated decoder the
corresponding chapter of the »Lokmaus
torola**-Standards
the corresponding chapter of the Märklin*-Central-Unit-6021-manual...).
Light :
By the »F0«-function-key (may be activated by the »light«-key of the »Lokmaus
of the engine may be enabled or disabled . If the head-lights are enabled they will operate according to the di-
rection of the engine. The head-lights by the function-key »F0« enabled you may enable or disable by funktion-
key »F2« the high beam (head lights will substantial brighten) . If the head-lights are disabled the function-key
»F2« is disactivated.
Overload protection :
If the motor-amperage overshoots the 1,2-A-limit, the decoder-integrated overload protection will immediately
cut off the motor. The decoder annonces this motor-cut-off by blinking head-lights during three seconds.
Operating on conventionnal analog layouts :
You may use your locomotive on every conventionnal operated analog layout (The integrated decoder on the
DCC-Standards, on a normal analog two-rails-DC-layout,
a three-rails-AC-layout). But please note the following operation restrictions in comparison with the digital
operating :
The brightness of the headlights isn't constant but depends on the momentary speed of the engine.
A modification of the locomotive address (while being operated on an analog layout the address is quite out
of order) or of any other programmable decoder characteristic (registers or CV variables) is impossible.
Standard transformers for analog-layouts are normally constructed in such a way that a short-circuit
provoques an important voltage drop on the output terminals of the transformer limiting in this way
the short-circuit intensity till the short-circuit-protection of the transformer cuts off the current. If your
locomotive is operated by such a transformer and there is a very powerful acceleration or you change the
direction of your engine without a stop, the current intensity may exceed the 1,2-A-limit without a real
overload of the motor. Nevertheless teh overload protection of the decoder will cut off the motor.
Protection of the programmed CV-variables and registers :
The decoder have a CV-variables- and registers-protection to avoid involontary modifications of the actual deco-
der-parameters. If this protection is activated by the CV 56 or the register 56, any mofification of the protected
CVs or registers will be impossible.
Please note the following settings :

modification only on the CV 1 to 4, 8 and 56.
In case of
decoders on the Märklin*/Motorola**the factory-setting of the register 56 is = 1; this setting
allows any modification only on the registers 1 to 4, 8 and 56.

How to reset the initial factory CV- or
To reset all CVs and registers of the decoder to the initial factory-setting please set the value of CV 8
or of register 8 to the value 8.
