3. storage & Maintenance
Store the dry suit gloves in a dry, cool place, between + 5°C and + 20°C (+20°F / +68°F),
and out of direct sunlight. Ultra-Violet light will degrade the latex over time. If the gloves
have been exposed to cold temperatures, they will become stiff and lose their flexibility.
This condition is not permanent and can be resolved by a brief immersion in warm
water. After diving the gloves should be rinsed in fresh water. Before storing the gloves
for any length of time, dust the gloves inside and out with pure talc as a preservative.
Do not use perfumed cosmetic talc, as it contains oils which can damage the latex.
Do not use oils or lotion on the gloves. Avoid contact with copper.
4. Possible allergy risk
A small percentage of people have an allergic reaction to natural latex, the material
from which the gloves are manufactured. This allergy can range from mild to severe
skin rash and itching. It is the responsibility of the user to pre-determine if he or she
has Latex allergy, or to recognize it during use and discontinue use of the gloves
until the problem can be rectified.
5. Donning the gloves:
1. Insert your hand with the inner glove on through your drysuits latex seal (Pic. 1).
2. Grab the ring of the Easy Don dry glove firmly with one hand and insert the
other hand through the cuff and into the glove (Pic. 2).
3. Insert your hand through the cuff and press the hand forward as much as
possible so that the seal will be pulled over your wrist. If using a drysuit it
should be pulled over the latex seal of the suit (Pic. 3).
4. Now pull the hand slightly backward so that the seal of the glove is inverted
and lies over the seal of the suit without wrinkles (Pic. 4).
