Aligning the SCT 410 by setting aid

The setting aid is available as an optional accessory.
1. Place setting aid (Fig. 9, item 1) on star knob screw.
2. Use the setting aid (Fig. 9, item 1) to align the
SCT 410 by way of the spirit levels on the precision
measuring bar (Fig. 8, item 1 and item 2).

Removing the precision measuring
bar from the SCT 410
1. Secure the precision measuring bar by hand.
2. Remove the star knob screw.
3. Remove clamp (Fig. 4, item 1).
4. Remove the precision measuring bar from the angle
mounting bracket.

Adjusting the height of the calibrati-
on board
1. Find the required height of the calibration board in
the "Multi-Target-Shop short instructions".
2. Check if there is a difference in height between the
resting surface of the vehicle and the resting surface
of the SCT 410 (for example due to a lift).
3. If there is a difference in height between the resting
surfaces, compensate for it by adjusting the height
given in the short instructions.
4. Attach the calibration board to the precision measu-
ring bar.
5. Operate the locking handle and use a tape measure
to set the calibration board to the required height.
6. Measure the required height with a tape measure at
the center of the calibration board (Fig. 10, item 3).
