4.2
Aligning the SCT 410 with the longi-
tudinal center plane of the vehicle

Manufacturer-specific specifications are required for
correctly aligning the SCT 410. They are described in
the corresponding "Multi Target Shop short instruc-
tions".
1. Find the manufacturer-specific values for aligning
the SCT 410 in the "Multi Target Shop short instruc-
tions".
2. Place the SCT 410 in front of the vehicle.
3. Attach the P-Assist S5 to laser mount A.

4. Switch on the P-Assist S5.
The laser line now runs across the vehicle.
5. Align the SCT 410 in such a way that the manufactu-
rer badge (Fig. 7, item 2) on the front of the vehicle
and the antenna (Fig. 7, item 3) are highlighted by
the laser line (Fig. 7, item 1).
The SCT 410 is now aligned with the front of the
vehicle.

If the manufacturer badge and the antenna are not
located along the longitudinal center plane of the
vehicle, the manufacturer badge on the tailgate can
be used as a second reference point. If so, open the
tailgate and highlight the center of the manufacturer
badge on the vehicle front and the tailgate with the
laser line.
4.3
Aligning the SCT 410 by spirit level
¶
Use the star knob screws (Fig. 8, item 3) to align the
SCT 410 by way of the spirit levels on the precision
measuring bar (Fig. 8, item 1 and item 2).
