Live Well Hose Connection
- Connect 19mm/ ¾˝ (1250 GPH - 1 1/8") I.D. hose
from live well to pumps 19mm/ ¾˝ (1250 GPH - 28
mm/ 1 1/8") outlet using either the straight or 90º
discharge port. Hand tighten discharge port to pump
and secure hose with clamp. To prevent airlocks,
route hose from pump to live well with a continuous
vertical rise and no dips or loops making certain that
the hose does not drop below the pumps level.
Wash Down Hose Connection
– Connect ½˝ wash down hose directly to pumps
½˝ nptf hose connection. If ¾˝ hose is used connect
to pump using ½˝x ¾˝ adapter provided and either
the straight or 90º port. Secure hose with clamps.
To ensure best performance and reliability use marine
grade smooth bore hose.
Wiring the Pump
• Connect the brown wire to the positive (+) fused
side of the battery.
• Connect the black wire to the negative (-) side of
the battery.
• Install the proper size fuse; 500, 750, 1000, 1250
GPH —5 Amp fuse.
• For longer pump life, do not run dry.
• Do not cut back insulation more than 3" and keep
all connections well above water levels. A submer-
ged splice will render the warranty void. Keep all
wire connections and joints high and dry. The wi-
ring connections should be made with water re-
sistant permanent terminals. Liquid electrical tape
should be used to coat the terminals.
